Man, these guys love working together and considering what they've done together so far, we might be in for a treat. While it has been rumored for awhile, it was officially announced today that Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio have committed to "The Wolf of Wall Street" and it will most likely begin filming in August. Scorsese will direct and DiCaprio will start in the titular role as Jordan Belfort – also known as, the 'Wolf of Wall Street'. The screenplay that was adapted by Terence Winter, is based on the memoir by Belfort, and will detail his proclaimed bad-ass life on Wall Street during the 90s. If it's anything like the book, we can expect to see DiCaprio's character rack up millions of dollars, develop a serious drug and hooker addiction and then (go figure) lose it all when he gets convicted for shady trading practices.

Sounds like a compelling story. It will be especially satisfactory if the guy is actually held accountable for screwing with people's lives the way he did. It's also always good news when Scorsese works with one of his "go to actors." like DiCaprio. However, as many times as these two have collaborated, they still have three more films to beat Scorsese's impressive eight films completed with Robert De Niro.

I feel like I've gone on record more than once saying I feel Scorsese is the greatest living American director, so I am definitely on board with this. His collaborations with DiCaprio have been really great, too. Maybe not of the same nuance of his work with de Niro back in the day, but of its own singular quality. Very happy to see them continuing to work together.

Good news. A great director and actor that always end up making good films together. Also, that line underneath the title makes it sound like a new generation of Scorceses and Dicaprios is coming together to collaborate on their fifth film.

@Sandor: Ahh, maybe I was subconsciously hoping we could clone them so they could make even more great movies together.

Man seriously...I find Scorcese's films boring as all hell. And I've tried to watch pretty much all of them. I was seriously starting to like DiCaprio but how am I supposed to watch his films without falling asleep during them. Blood Diamond and Catch Me If you Can are about the only ones I can enjoy without falling asleep or cringing(in the case of Titanic).

Man, Marty Scorsese must be the most cuddly-looking film directing legend of all time. Looking forward to another Marty-Leo collab. I expect nothing but quality.

And I hate to hate, but parts of this article are really awkwardly worded. Especially

Having become something of a Scorsese fan, and with The Aviator being my favourite of Scorsese's films, I can't wait for The Wolf of Wall Street.

However, I'm disappointed that Scorsese's next film isn't The Irishman with Robert De Niro and Al Pacino, as I've heard that to be Scorsese's next film for a while, but nonetheless, Scorsese and DiCaprio also make a great team.

Good stuff. Scorsese and Leo make for a good movie-making duo and I love movies about Wall Street.

Leonardo DiCaprio is a great actor, and I also absolutely loved Hugo, which was directed by Scorsese. I am definitely on board with this one.
