Dude.

I have no words. All I can do is copy 'n' paste this text from the official website:

On April 2nd 2011, LCD Soundsystem played its final show at Madison Square Garden. LCD frontman James Murphy had made the conscious decision to disband one of the most celebrated and influential bands of its generation at the peak of its popularity, ensuring that the band would go out on top with the biggest and most ambitious concert of its career. The instantly sold out, near four-hour extravaganza did just that, moving the thousands in attendance to tears of joy and grief, with NEW YORK magazine calling the event "a marvel of pure craft" and TIME magazine lamenting "we may never dance again." SHUT UP AND PLAY THE HITS is both a narrative film documenting this once in a life time performance and an intimate portrait of James Murphy as he navigates the lead-up to the show, the day after, and the personal and professional ramifications of his decision.

OFFICIAL: MOST HYPED MOVIE OF THE YEAR.

Damn, they aren't The Beatles of Pink Floyd, I get that a beloved band went away but come one.

Are you opposed to the music itself or the passionate following?

I am so excited to watch this film. Going to be so emotional. I miss LCD Soundsystem so much.

@ThePickle: I'm opposed to self serving and self aggrandizing music. Music and bands that out right or subvertly claim being great turn me off to them, there is a difference between passionate love and "if you don't like LCD Soundsystem you don't know good music", which is exactly what this trailer and that blurb seem to be saying to me.

I know it's a typo, but I would like to hear what the Beatles of Pink Floyd sounds like.

@FinalDasa: Even though my avatar removes any credibility in what I'm about to say, but I didn't get that impression at all. Blurbs and trailers are supposed to look like that; I'm confident James Murphy wouldn't call any of his work influential or celebrated. Obviously there's a certain amount of ego involved in agreeing to do a documentary of yourself and the people in your band, but if given the opportunity, that could literally be applied to everyone.

@will_leisure: Beatles of Pink Flloyd would be crazy! lol I think going from simple concert DVD to 48 hour documentary is a little much. This is less of an accusation towards the band and more towards music fans themselves. Too often do I get a strange look when I say dubstep isn't good and I'm told "you just don't understand it". The trailer maybe doesn't feel like that but that blurb really does.

@FinalDasa: Fair enough. Blurbs are the biggest liars, though, because they think everything is the best. That's why no one really pays attention to them, or at least most people don't, anyway.

And dubstep is awful. There are exceptions like Burial and maybe James Blake (don't like him as much as everyone else seems to), but dubstep will always be bad. I can't keep up anymore and determine if Giant Bomb really likes dubstep, or if it's this one huge joke most members aren't getting. They're joking, right? I know there's a certain level of sincerity, but surely they must be joking.
