After seeing Matthew Floratis' Best and Worst Movie Posters of 2012, I realized there has been a severe lack of film posters on the site since I have taken over. For that, I apologize. However, now that will be changing. Yes, I'm bringing "Posters of the Week" back. It is a great way to see what is coming out. But more than anything, sometimes the photoshop on posters are so bad that it makes me angry and I really would like a forum to rant about this. I'm still working on the best format, so bear with me on that one.

The Movie 43 poster is more than a week old, but being that it is worthy of discussion and I am getting caught up, I included it.

THE LAST EXORCISM 2

The biggest release this week is likely the poster for the sequel to the found footage horror film The Last Exorcism. Apparently, it wasn't actually the last exorcism. This poster gets points for creativity with making the 2 out of a creepy, scary demon lady. I also like the stark neutral colors and that is pretty effecting.

PARKER

And then there is Parker. The poster tells me that it is starring Jason Statham and J-Lo, but my question.....are we supposed to believe that is actually J-Lo's face?! It doesn't even look like her. She's so damned smooth and airbrushed. I'm glad they put her name in large letters because I would have no idea that was her. Well, besides her nicely shaped derriere, that might have clued me in.

MOVIE 43

We have been asked to removed the Movie 43 poster....so just enjoy the first two.

Ugh Movie 43 looks the worst. EVEN IN POSTER FORM.

And this feature idea is great, I do love a good movie poster. Get across your themes in an abstract image without spoiling plot details, trailer style, please.

Damn The Last Exorcism 2 does look twisted, Ha Ha get the joke. But any way I haven't even heard of the first two. So your idea of Poster of the Week would work out great for a guy like me. Looking forward to them.

When I look at the Parker poster, my mind just substitutes Parker with Transporter.

I don't get how there can be a sequel to "The Last Exorcisim" It is called THE LAST Exorcisim. The poster for Parker looks about right for how the movie looks, cheaply made in that vein of Jason Stathom genre of film.

Yea Movie 43, hopefully someone puts up the basketball sketch since that one actually made me laugh. Otherwise it looks dumb.

Of those three, I'm most excited about Parker. But that's because I'm a huge fan of Jason Statham. Having Jennifer Lopez as his love interest is another bonus for me.

Ugh, the Last Exorcism was lame...why do we need another?

I liked THE LAST EXORCISM. Probably one of the five best horror movies of the past five years.

That Last Exorcism poster is creepy as f*ck and, unlike The Devil Inside's poster, for completely the right reasons. Good work, movie! Still won't see you, mind.

How come the Movie 43 poster was removed? Also, am I literally the only person both interested in and looking forward to that movie? I feel rather alone down here... :(

Well, I'm not a HUGE fan of horror movies, because not much scares me movie wise, but I guess you have to Define "recently". You mean in the past decade?

-The Ju On series (the films that The Grudge was based off of)
-28 Days Later
-Grave Encounters was at least, interesting
-Paranormal Activity
-The first two Saw films
-REC

However, if you mean in the past few years, yeah, the only one that has even gotten me a little nervous was Paranormal Activity, but now the franchise is getting played out.

@The Stegman: I agree that the PARANORMAL ACTIVITY series has jumped the shark but that the original was pretty scary. Especially since it didn't use loud music or gore to get scares.
