Based on the huge poster that hangs on the wall in my mom's office, I know that Hugh Laurie is a big sex symbol, but I am a little disturbed to see him having an affair with one of the 'Gossip Girls'. On the other hand, it is nice to see Leeighton Meister in a role that looks like she will soon be able to shed her Blair Waldorf persona and actually stand on her own as a bright comedic talent.
However, this film truly looks like an incredible ensemble. With roles inhabited by Allison Janney, Oliver Platt, Catherine Keener and Adam Brody, I'm interested to see where this goes. It feels a little like a movie you throw on Netflix Instant when there is nothing much else to watch, but sometimes, there is a need for movies like that.
The film premiered at the Toronto Film Festival and has been building some solid buzz since. It will be released in theaters in the U.S in October.
