So who do you guys think, Red Skull, or the Skrulls for Loki's mystery partner in the Avengers film.

I don't know. I'm guessing the Skrulls since it would be a good way to introduce the cosmic universe, and there needs to be some formidable fighting partners for these guys. I'm betting there will be robots or stuff like that as well.

Well since there are going to be a couple films based on the Marvel Cosmic stuff I'm guessing it'll be the Skrulls or their Ultimate Universe Counterpart-the Chitauri.

Well it's not going to be the Skrulls, the Kree, or the Red Skull according to Kevin Feige who sat down to an interview with Empire Magazine. Here's what he said:

Who said they were aliens?… It’s not Skrulls, I’ve been clear about that. Beyond that, we want to hide it. The identity of the alien race is not impactful. It exists in the comic books, but we’re not setting up the Kree-Skrull war or anything like that.”

Below is what he said about Red Skull:

Was [Red] Skull vaporised at the end of [Captain America: The First Avengers], or thrust into another realm? That remains to be seen. It would be fun to see Skull in future, but he’s not in this one.”

Loki is not going to have a partner.

Red Skull based on the end of Captain America. And I'd say the evil minions will be some kind of HYDRA/Norse hybrid.
