Freakonomics Trailer

The hit book is now a (hopefully) hit movie, filled with whimsical visuals and...well, economics...that are freaky.

I really liked the book, especially the chapter 4 (I believe it was this one) that posed the idea that abortion has lead to lower crime rate in US. The thing is that the freakonomics guys have been under a lot of flak by other economists for not being very professional in how they present their data.

Seems a lot like Food Inc, which I enjoyed, but with a little more humor which is always good

The bit in the book on drug dealing was great. I wonder if they'll include the section on Roe vs. Wade lowering crime rates.

Looks great! I'm looking forward to this.

I fucking love freakonomics, can't wait for this. I wonder if they will tone down the whole abortion/crime thing in the movie since people seem to get upset about it. Hoping there's an extensive portion about drug dealers, it was my favorite part of the book.

Book was a bit hit and miss - let's hope they focus on the former.

Both of the books were really fascinating. Very eye-opening, creative applications of economic principles to the world.

I love speculative non-fiction like Malcom Gladwell, Jonah Lehrer and Radiolab. We're living in a renaissance of science being entertaining and making a point beyond objective data. Having someone spin the facts a certain way makes the world far more interesting than the uncertainty we live with day to day.

That flim looks fascinating.

Yes. I will watch a movie version of one of my favorite non-fiction books.

Looks interesting but that trailer really told me very little about what this is meant to be.

The books look interesting but this trailer doesn't sell me on the movie.
