powerless.

Desperate to escape Hell, Freddy hatches a dangerous plan. Freddy locates Jason Voorhees and disguises himself as Jason’s mother, the only person Jason trusts, and compels him to rise from the dead and slaughter the teenagers of Springwood. Freddy hopes that he will be blamed for Jason’s killing spree; once the people of Springwood remember Freddy he will once again have the power to escape from Hell.

Jason arrives in Springwood and goes to Elm Street where he enters the house where Nancy Thompson and Jesse Walsh used to live. The house is now owned by Lori Campbell and her windowed father. Jason stalks Lori’s friend Trey inside the house. Jason corners Trey and murders him brutally with a machete and then bends his body in half.

After the murder Lori and her friends Kia, Gibb and Blake are taken into police custody for questioning. After Lori hears two police officers mention Freddy, she falls asleep, allowing Freddy to enter her dreams. Freddy then tries to attack Lori’s friend Blake, but is unable to harm her. Freddy decides to wait for his powers to gain in strength; meanwhile, he decides to “let Jason have some fun.” When Blake awakens he finds that his father has been beheaded by Jason. Moments later, Jason kills Blake as well. To divert suspicion away from Freddy, the police state that Blake killed his father before killing himself.

Lori has a recurring dream about Freddy and attempts to warn her friends about the potential danger. After hearing about the murders on Elm St. Lori’s boyfriend Will Rollins and his friend Mark escape the Westin Hills Asylum and join Lori’s group.

That night Jason stalks a group of teens at a rural rave. At the party Gibb falls asleep, allowing Freddy to enter her dreams. A raver finds Gibbs unconscious and attempts to rape her. Sensing that teenage sex is being had, Jason finds the teens and murders them both. By murdering Gibb, Jason denies Freddy the thrill of the kill. As Jason goes on a killing spree at the rave, Freddy realizes that Jason cannot be prevented from killing and that the public is becoming more afraid of Jason than of him.

After the rave murders, Will, Lori, Kia, Freeburg, Linderman, and Deputy Stubbs group together and formulate a plan to stop Jason and Freddy. They decide to take Jason back to Camp Crystal Lake where Lori will pull Freddy into the real world; the group hopes that once Freddy is in the real world, Jason will kill him.

Freddy pulls Jason into the dream world. Jason realizes that he has been tricked by Freddy and attempts to kill him. Eventually Freddy

discovers that Jason has a fear of drowning. He exploits that fear, fooling Jason into believing that he is drowning.

Before Freddy can kill Jason, Lori enters the dream world and breaks up the fight. Lori entrance awakens from the dream world and begins to attack Lori’s friends. Freddy is enraged and attempts to kill Lori. He reveals that he killed Lori’s mother. Lori awakens and manages to drag Freddy into the real world.

Once Jason sees Freddy, he stops attacking Lori’s friends and turns his rage towards Freddy. Jason beats Freddy and throws him through the burning roof of a cabin. Lori, Will, Kia and Linderman try to escape but Linderman is killed in the process.

Lori decides to stay until she is sure that Freddy is dead. Despite being much weaker than Jason, Freddy still manages to wound Jason severely. In an attempt to blow Freddy and Jason up, Lori and Will burn gas tanks on the docks on which the two are fighting.

As the fire starts, Jason rips off Freddy’s arm as Freddy stabs Jason through the heart with his own machete. The dock then explodes and launches Freddy and Jason into the lake. Freddy rises from the water and attempts to kill Lori. Before Freddy can kill her, Jason returns and stabs Freddy with his own claws. Jason then collapses into the lake. Lori picks up Jason’s machete and stands over Freddy. She shouts “Welcome to my world, bitch!” and beheads Freddy. She then throws the machete to Jason as he slowly sinks into the water.

Lori and Will depart. The next morning Jason rises from the water, carrying his machete in one hand and Freddy’s severed head in the other. The movie closes with Freddy’s severed head smirking and winking to the camera.
