An ensemble of washed out sci-fi actors encounter an alien race that have re-created, in detail, the ship and technology from their canceled show, "Galaxy Quest". The aliens believe the actors to be the people they portray on the show, and they need their help.
Instead of ripping off the standard Star Trek "Swooosh-thweep" sound for their automatic doors, the NSEA Protector's automatic doors were given the same "Tweeep-Clunk" sound effect as the doors in the original version of the video game Ultimate Doom (1993).
