A little L.A. Confidential, a little American Gangster, a little Goodfellas, a little Scarface and a whole lot of holy fuck this looks awesome. This is the first trailer for Gangster Squad which stars a lot of incredible actors (Sean Penn, Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, Josh Brolin and on and on) based on the life of Mickey Cohen and the police efforts to shut him down. It is a fictionalized version of the story, but there is something about it that makes me want to take a time machine back to the '40s and live through it with them...or, actually with all those guns I think seeing the movie will do just fine.

I didn't even think about the LA Noire connection, but you are so right! That makes me laugh...

Ok this looks pretty good, yay Emma Stone. The title though Gangster Squad really? They couldn't come up with something better?

Finally a trailer... One of my most anticipated movies this year.

I was sold the moment I originally heard about this film and this has me even more sold.

I agree with you there friend. This possibly takes place after his death, lol. Cole Phelps would make this movie even greater if he was in there.

This trailer had me until the crappy rap music.

FUCK YEAH!!!! A suprising film from the guy who did Zombieland, but awesome nonetheless.

I knew from second one that it was gonna be that kind of movie.

A little Michael Bay/Oliver Stone crossover flick.

Still, while not what I want from a 1930-40s gangster movie, it looks like it could be a fun ride.

Mad looking forward to seeing Sean Penn play a mob boss.

I was thinking more Untouchables than Scarface or Goodfellas...

Looks very good, although it seems to be going for a more action movie vibe than most other crime dramas. Out of curiosity, any news on what this is going to be rated? I would assume R--because it's a crime flick--but I could actually see it making a lot of money if it was PG-13.

I still hate the hell out of Sean Penn, though.

I saw the trailer yesterday, on Yahoo Movies, and it looks awesome. The casting is great, and it looks to be really intense also.

Can't wait to see it.
