Overview

The Ghostface Killer is an identity taken up by a series of characters throughout the Scream series.  His identity was crafted to represent the standard slasher movie villain tropes of films such as Halloween, A Nightmare on Elm Street, and Friday the 13th, and preys on the friends, family, and associates of Sidney Prescott.  However, unlike the movie villains Ghostface is meant to emulate, the man (or woman) behind the mask is not immortal.  Each time that those behind the Ghostface identity are killed, another, similarly obsessed person rises in their place with the intention of terrorizing Sidney.
