Rorie:..To David Spade somehow being cast as a womanizing playboy...

David Spade:.....what?

lol

I dunno. I'm with Alex (from his Jack & Jill review) now; Adam Sandler clearly has a disdain for most of America now and revels in shoveling shit down their stupid throats and profiting from it. Which is what's up with that notion of, "Only people who partake in downhome country living can be happy". If these people insist on being stupid, than SOMEONE must take advantage of them. We don't want these morons having money -- they'll just pump it right back into Wal-Mart.

Can you blame him? We live in the age when a potential Presidential candidate thinks going to school is for "snobs"; probably because he wants all rich people to be protected by the poor people who will be forced to join the Army after dropping out of high school. If that doesn't make you want to set the entire middle of the country ablaze - this is the theatrical equivalent of that - , I don't know what will. Adam Sandler can keep doing what he's doing; as far as I'm concerned, he's just TCOB.

I can't think of a film I wasn't willing to give a chance, but fifteen minutes into Grown Ups I at to turn it off. It's trash and makes me sick that it even exists. Didn't understand Matt's pain till I saw what I saw of it.

I remember watching this piece of shit for the first time. What egged me on was actually Rorie's review and because I enjoy putting myself through torture in the form of film I watched it... but I had no idea it was really going to be that bad. I laughed about one time and even then I can't remember what it was at.

One of my friends said he enjoyed this movie after I watched it. I was taken aback, and told him to rewatch it. Ever since the rewatch (which I had to do with him) he now sees how terrible this movie really is. Maybe the shock was too much for him he didn't notice the first time? All in all, don't watch this. (as Rorie said)

I had the misfortune of catching some of the film on a flight. I didn't have sound and it was only brief glimpses, but it was painful even for the few seconds of disconnected gibberish I had the misfortune of seeing.

Ugh...that was just offensively awful. I have some friends who spoke of this movie in a positive light. They are friends no longer.

This movie might be the worst. It's when I realized that Adam Sandler and crew aren't making bad movies on accident, but on purpose. They're geniuses by exploiting America. They're making so much money without putting much thought into anything they do now. Sandler even has roles now where he has a job that makes a ton of money with a big house and a beautiful wife/girlfriend that he obviously doesn't deserve and still acts like an immature asshole; he isn't even trying to be the dude from The Wedding Singer or Happy Gilmore anymore.

Grown-Ups didn't have a plot. It was like a dozen problems being resolved one right after the other. Like, a problem would happen and then it would be resolved five minutes later, and then a new "problem" appeared...only to be done five minutes later. And what the fuck Maya Rudolph? Chris Rock has become a lost cause, but you still have your whole career ahead of you!

The thing that bothered me most was the funeral scene at the beginning. Like, five assholes who, in the grand scheme of things, probably weren't a huge part of some man's life because they only knew him as children from 30 years ago, and they held the entire service hostage with their "jokes".

"Remember when we were 7 and we won the championship 30 years ago?"

"No, because it was 30 years ago and you were 7."

If I were the immediate family, I'd be pissssssssssed.

aww I liked this movie, watched it a few times, there are a lot worse movies just look at the entire Asylum catalog...

As a devout fan of the output of The Asylum and bad movies and general, I must say that I've never seen a movie that I actively despise as much as the 10 min of content or so in this video from Grown-Ups. At least Transmorphers is FUNNY in how bad it is and doesn't have old man ass.

Awesome! I was hoping Screened would make a Worsties segment to coincide with the Besties one! Looks like this could be the start of it!

I like Kevin James, I can't help it.

This movie was bad but in all honesty no more offensive than the new Ghost Rider which they gave a 3. It is just an adam sandler movie, it is no better or worse than the rest of them. Save maybe Jack and Jill since Sandler has two roles in that film which makes it worse.

I remember being surprisingly entertained by this movie... looking back on it, I don't know why. Am I a terrible person?

I like the idea of using this movie as a friend test, but that would require me to actually watch the movie.

God damn, this movie made a lot of money.

There have been movies where actors just hang out for a weekend and it's interesting to watch. Those are the Ocean's movies.

Well at least Salma Hayek is still pretty good looking.
