A bafflingly bad conclusion to an otherwise stellar trilogy, Spider-Man 3 is definitely only half-good.

Peter Parker is forced to contend with Sandman, Venom and his old nemesis Harry Osborne, all the while dealing with the curious powers granted to him by a mysterious black entity and his relationship troubles with Mary Jane Watson. Life ain't easy for a superhero.

Definitely seems to me like there's a surprisingly large group of people that loved the silly aspects of the movie. I am one of them, and I'm not the least bit ashamed of it.
Terrible is the only word I'd use to describe this movie.
I enjoyed the video, Rorie, but is Spider-Man 3 half-good or just flat out bad, in your opinion? You're kind of saying both.
Besides the sand effects, I thought the CG was pretty terrible compared to Spider-Man 2. I cringed at the part were Goblin's or Venom's masks came off.
Not gonna lie, I kinda enjoyed the emo Spider-Man parts. They were so dumb, I was laughing my ass off.
I only liked the second Spiderman, it perfectly meshed the campy-ness with the goodness.
Though 3 did have the "Hows the pie?" moment
Favorite in the trilogy, but I like them all quite a bit.
Like the pie, this movie is...so good.
NO! No! Bad Rorie! This is a bad movie, and you should feel bad for suggesting otherwise. The idea that all the characters are separate and independent isn't good because it makes it feel like a made for TV movie, broken into little vignettes than a cohesive whole. They never call Venom by name, and the end battle feels more like a Joel Schumaker campy mess combined with a Godzilla movie.
PS, did anyone else cringe when Matt said "Audio Octavius" instead of "Otto"

Haha, it does seem that way, huh?
That reflection shot when his haircut changes is one of the best parts of the trilogy.
By best, I mean : (
@Hjels: No. its the best part of that movie.
Yeah er ... this video doesn't work for me. Gets about 30 seconds in then skips to the 'next video' - watched the intro three times now :s
@JoeyF: Wonderful job editing, Joey. Keep up the great work.
Damn it I feel second hand embarrassment every time I see that emo spiderman scene.
bullshit, emo parker was the second best part of the movie
the first being the parker vs harry fight, one the best fights ever
spider man three is way more enjoyable than spiderman two
The saddest part of Spiderman 3, was how close it was to being something amazing. The plotlines were all set up to make Dr. Connors into the villain. And I genuinely liked the stuff between "Baby Goblin" and Spidey.
All in all, I can call this one 1/3rd good. But not half. Everything after the Goblin bangs his head and goes to the hospital is a downward spiral. Neat effects just aren't enough to save this one from being a stinker. Everything from shoehorning Marko into the the death of Pete's uncle, the lab running dangerous sand experiments (did I really just type that?) in the middle of the night in a wide open area with no reason or rhythm to it. Everything involving pseudo-Venom (and I don't dislike Topher Grace either, it was just a poor idea to put him in this movie as Eddie Brock). It all just wreaks of design by committee rather where the first 2 had a distinctive Raimee stamp all over them (which is why they're more highly regarded).

First of all, I'm not trolling your or trying to pick a fight. I genuinely and without sarcasm would like to ask you a question or two about this statement.
First of all, are you a fan of the comics in any way? Secondly, what was it about 2 that put you off? And third, if SM3 is the more highly regarded film to you, can you tell me more about why this is so? Especially if the answer to question 1 is a "no".
Again, I'm genuinely curious, not trying to be a dick or anything like that.
Thanks.
