So I was watching Heat for the first time so I would be prepared for watching The Screening Room, and I went in knowing not much more than "Al Pacino's in it and at some point there's a bank robbery". I'll admit I wasn't paying full attention to the movie, but I couldn't help but be very confused by a lot of the movie's events. After about 45 minutes I was thinking "I'm really not sure I like this..." and so I went to the Heat Screening Room article just to see what others were saying about the movie. In the article, Alex talks about whether Al Pacino or Robert De Niro was the better actor in the movie. My reaction? "Wait a minute, Robert De Niro? He's not... oh fuck."
 
I thought Al Pacino and Robert De Niro were the same character the whole time.
 
Fourty-five minutes and yet I still didn't realize that one had a beard and one didn't. I assumed it was some sort of cop-who's-also-a-criminal sort of thing.
 
I suck at watching movies.

Umm...okay then.

I don't really know what to say to this....

Some people say they've never actually been seen in the same place at the same time.... hmmmmm.... maybe they have like a Clark Kent/Superman thing going on.

Honestly, when I'm not watching the movie I can sometimes forget which one is the cop or the thief. Probably because I can't help but think of Pacino as Scarface and DeNiro looks more like a cop to me.
