The Hunger Games return with such a sequel twist that you can't believe writer Suzanne Collins didn't think of film when writing. Catching Fire builds up with all types of subversive messaging which is interesting but also brings into relief the limitations of the genre and film.
After Hades, in a ploy to take the Olympus throne from his brother Zeus, fails to completely turn Zeus' son Hercules mortal, Hercules attempts to become a hero and reclaim his status as one of the Greek Gods so he can return to Mount Olympus.
Jack Nicholson, Willem Dafoe, David Bowie, and John Lithgow were all considered for the voice of Hades.
One scene during the "Zero to Hero" sequence depicts Hercules and Pegasus riding through a muse-like constellation. As they do, the muse's dress in the constellation blows up, just as Marilyn Monroe's character's dress did.
