The Hunger Games return with such a sequel twist that you can't believe writer Suzanne Collins didn't think of film when writing. Catching Fire builds up with all types of subversive messaging which is interesting but also brings into relief the limitations of the genre and film.
Connor MacLeod finds himself being hunted by the recently unleashed Kane, a 16th century Immortal that murdered Nakano, an Immortal Japanese sorcerer and MacLeod's teacher. Kane is a master of the power of illusion, and will stop at nothing until he finds MacLeod and battles him for the final Quickening.
Highlander: The Final Dimension completely ignores the science-fiction storyline of Highlander II: The Quickening, instead acting like a direct sequel to the original Highlander film.
