The Worst Movie of 2011, Probably the Worst Movie Ever Made. Reviewed by MasterPr0phet on Oct. 8, 2011. MasterPr0phet has written 280 reviews. His/her last review was for A Good Day To Die Hard. 200 out of 352 users recommend his reviews. 2 out of 5 users found this review helpful.

It's been a long time since I've been thoroughly disgusted by a movie, but Hobo with a Shotgun left me with such a bad taste in my mouth, I'm probably going to have to watch another movie instantly just to get its awful putrid stench off of me.

Honestly, words can't describe how awful Hobo with a Shotgun actually is, but I'll try to ward anyone off who thinks that this movie might be "cool" or "rad" simply because of its seemingly "grindhouse" approach: There is a point in this film in which one of the villains straight up uses a flame-thrower to fry an entire school bus full of children. Yes, you read that correctly. And this isn't your typical, implied death scene. Nope, you see it straight on. Intensely morbid and full of bad taste, Hobo with a Shotgun doesn't stop there either. This is literally just an extreme that I never thought I could honestly say I would see grace the silver screen ever.

And the plot here, is so paper thin that it sickens me. Honestly, how the hell could this town have possibly become this evil? You want legitimacy? Send Batman in there and within a week he'd have every single crook and scoundrel crawling back into the gutter's the hailed from. Hell, you want a more realistic scenario, any single police force would crush this kind of corruption.

Yet, the biggest shocker of this insane, 90-minute crapfest is that Rutger Hauer has fallen off far enough to star in such a pile of filth. But I suppose I should explain the paper thin plot so you get an idea of what's going on here: Rutger Hauer is a hobo. He shows up in a town that he thinks will be his new home, only to discover that the town is probably the most corrupt town ever. He then decides to take it upon himself to deliver justice with a shotgun. Yep. The plot is the title of this movie.

This is one of the rare cases in which I should have just turned this pile of garbage off, but for some reason I trekked through the 90 minute waste just to see how it would end. Sadly, it isn't worth it. There aren't many movies that I would rate zero stars, but sadly, this is one of those times. Never, ever watch this movie.
