Maybe if the other mammoth (elatifahnt? that's almost a joke) and those oh so wacky possums are are killed off in the first two minutes.

The first one was great.  the second one was fun. The third one was dull! The fourth one was was horrible...
I'm talking about the Shrek movies... See a pattern here?

I found this trailer highly amusing actually. They've brought me back to the series.

Man Blue Sky really needs to stop making these crappy ice age sequels, at this point its very clear that just like Dreamworks they only do good work when they're making stand alone original films.

So now we have to explain to our kids that the earths core is not a magical floating metal ball. Although maybe the earth will be over by the time thats an issue.

I enjoyed the trailer thought, that squirrel dude is entertaining.

None of the prior movies had the gravity of real science, the evolution of the planet or its species, so I wouldn't expect it to now.  Hopefully no one has taken that part seriously.  It's gotta be about the character development and the messages of family and friends and nuts.

Just wondering why this continues as a movie franchise when it's seems more like a network cartoon series at this point.  Chop it up, dole it out weekly, sprinkle in commercials and another movie to toon franchise with limited returns ala Aladin or Lilo and Stitch.  Can't wait until the mammoths join man in space.

Is it wrong to like these movies? Yes MK called the third movie the "death of narrative cinema" but the simple stories and cute characters are kind of endearing on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Well the little skits featuring the little squirrel rat thing...                                       "
His name is Scrat.

As for the trailer, I didn't watch it.  Why?  BECAUSE THERE ARE TOO MANY FUCKING ICE AGE MOVIES!!!  Why can't Ray Romano just die already?

@Rorie: I'm pretty sure that the original Ice Age trailer came out pretty long before the movie came out in theaters.  I don't know how I would check that, but I'm wanting to say that trailer hit at least a year and a half before the movie as well.

Scrat has to be the best thing about the Ice Age movies since the first one for me. I love the way he usuallt has nothing to do with the main script and is just a brilliant comic moment.
