So.

I was in France for two weeks, and left on the day that Inception was released. As soon as I got back I scrambled a rag tag crew of shipmates who still hadn't seen the film, and embarked on an expedition to my local cinema.

Boy, was it worth the wait.

I've only ever been speechless at the end of two films:

The Return of the King
United 93

And now Inception.

I'm still reeling with awe...and cannot wait to jump into there for a second viewing (because a second viewing is, of course, inevitable). It may be that on closer inspection I find some flaws, I find some bits I don't like...but OH WAIT. Literally as I type this, a trailer comes on the TV with a quote that says "Even better the second time round!" So that's reason enough to go. Anyway, as I was saying...there may be some bits I don't like or something that nags me on closer inspection, but for the moment it was INCREDIBLE!!

I enjoyed the second time but I think I confused myself more the ride around.

@HandsomeDead: Then I'd be thrilled for you to recommend some for me?

@Tomrock:
I don't especially see what it was about your post that suggests you need to see more films...RotK, United 93 & Inception are all fantastic movies in their own way. If you ever do want to deepen your film knowledge, though, the easiest thing to do would be to go through the imdb Top 250. You won't agree with everything on there and towards the end of the list, some of the films are just stupid, but there an absolute fuckton of great movies near the top of the list.

@Bo17: Me neither, and I've seen all or most of the top 50. American Beauty arrived literally today, although I know it's criminal I haven't already seen that!
