What if cobb is performing inception on himself, he tells adrienne that he's keeping his memories because he needs to change them to make things right, cobb wants her gone from his mind so that he can return to his children. He finally has let her go completely so even if he is still within a dream at the end or the entire time he has acomplished his goal of inception on himself, fixing the memories he wanted to

who the fuck is adrienne!? dude you're on a movie database site you could at least have looked up the character names. but i do think you have a half decent theory, only this movie was so god damn straight forward that something tells me Nolan never looked that deep into it.
