I've seen the movie several times now, and I always find myself asking this question.
 
When Ariadne finds out that Cobb can't go home because he's allegedly killed Mal, Cobb thanks her for not asking whether or not he did. I've always wondered whether Cobb is being sarcastic or genuine when he asks her this. What do you guys think?

Seemed genuine to me. I never thought much of it because it seemed genuine. I'd have to watch it again to be sure, though.
