After learning about a Separatist weapon Obi-Wan leads a small team of clones into an occupied city only to find civilians beings used as shields for the weapon.
The Republic is preparing an invasion force to liberate the planet of Ryloth but in order to do so Obi-Wan and an elite commando group of clones called Ghost Company must infiltrate a city and destroy heavy guns that are stalling the invasion fleet. The only problem is the heavy guns of the Separatist are being shielded by the civilians of Ryloth.
Obi-Wan sends two teams of clones ahead to scout the city, one group finds the guns and as Obi-Wan relays his plan back to Mace Windu and the invasion fleet it is intercepted and broadcast back to the Separatist by a scout droid. The other group of clones stumbles upon a native child who has been orphaned, Numa. Numa is scared of the clones at first, but once they remove their helmets and give her a ration bar she starts following the two clones on the scouting mission. Eventually Numa leads them to what is left of her home, moved by the damages and loss they take it upon themselves to keep Numa safe.
The Separatists have a plan for the Ghost company, they will release starving reptiles, gutkurrs on them. When Numa and the clones receive of transmission of how late they are to return from their scouting mission they head back, only to be chased back into Numa's former home. Just when it seems they will be eaten Numa shows them a secret escape passage into underground tunnels. The rest of Ghost Company is now attacked by the gutkurrs, but with the help of Obi-Wan are able to trap them. Numa and her clones emerge a short distance away and devise a plan.
Commander Cody leads the majority of the clones to attack the heavy guns while Numa's clones and Obi-Wan sneak up from tunnels and free the civilians. Just after Numa is reunited with her Uncle the Separatists discover their plot and move a tank into position. Obi-Wan is able to jump into a nearby cannon and destroy all the other heavy guns but is cornered by the tank once again. Just when he seems to be dead the civilians overrun the tank and rip it to pieces. With the civilians safe and the guns destroyed the invasion of Ryloth can begin.
