 Plot

Lestat de Lioncourt (Tom Cruise) is a young-looking vampire, who's been adding up victims over time. He grants some of the them the gift of immortality.  In the late eighteenth century, he crosses his path with Louis de Pointe du Lac (Brad Pitt), a man tormented by the death of wife and son.  .

Two hundred years later, in San Francisco, Louis tells a reporter how he became a vampire.  Throughout his story, Louis expressed his desperation to survive and to see that he has no choice but to take people's life, something that causes great uneasiness.

In the course of history, they find a girl next to her mother's rotting corpse. Lestat calls her Claudia (Kirsten Dunst), who by mistake and misfortune Louis transforms into a vampire. Claudia falls  in love with Louis after several years of to living with him and Lestat. Louis is convinced that their mutual affection is that of a father and daughter, but eventually they become lovers.

Claudia eventually becomes furious with Lestat after realizing that she'll never grow up. She kills him and her and Louis move to Paris to find answers on  how vampires came to be and if there are any other vampires on earth. One night he meets other Vampires under a bridge, Santiago and Armand, who run a theathre known as Theatre des Vampires. Armand invites Louis and Claudia to his coven where he offers Louis a place to stay as long as Claudia leaves him. Lous refuses to leave Claudia and on his way out he is warned by Santiago that the other vampires know that she murdered Lestat and would take revenge.

The Vampires abduct Claudia and Louis. They imprison Louis and lock Claudia into a room with an open roof. The next morning Louis is saved by Armand and tries to save Claudia, but it's too late as she has been burnt to ashes. Louis takes revenge by burning all vampires while they sleep. Armand helps him escape and once again offers him a place by his side, Louis, realizing Armand was behind Claudia's murder refuses and leaves him.

He later returns to the US in 1988 and finds Lestat, suprisingly still alive, Lestat asks Louis stay with him, but Louis rejects him and leaves.
