Jerome Allen Seinfeld is primarily an American stand-up comedian. His sitcom, named "Seinfeld", which lasted nine seasons, was his first foray into writing and acting. In the series Seinfeld played a semi-fictional version of himself. He rose to fame due to the show's immense popularity.
