Personality

Jessica Stanley is portrayed by Anna Kendrick as a loquacious, gossipy and somewhat air-headed student at Forks High School. Her curly brown hair and blue eyes are her significant physical traits. Although she's the first person to make an effort to meet and become friendly with Bella, it seems as if their relationship is more one-sided and superficial than it seems, with Jessica dominating conversations with vacuous statements about boys, school and clothes. Jessica even seems to resent the amount of attention that Bella receives when attending Forks High, with both Mike Newton and Edward Cullen both falling for her (both of whom Jessica harbored feelings for). Because of this, one can make the assumption that Jessica is using Bella for male attention. However, Jessica does no harm to Bella, never does anything hurtful towards her, and shows concern for her well-being regardless.

In Twilight

" That's Edward Cullen, totally gorgeous obviously, but apparently no one here is good enough for him, like I care."

Jessica Stanley is the first person Bella meets when she attends Forks High School. Jessica is the one who sits with Bella at the cafeteria during lunch time, filling her in on the school's hierarchy and the school's obsession with the Cullens. Jessica is mostly supportive of Bella, though she does hold some jealousy concerning Mike Newton's admiration of Bella. By the end of the film, Jessica and Mike start dating and even attend prom together

In The Twilight Saga: New Moon

"So, you're an adrenaline junkie now?"

Jessica is still dating Mike during the events of New Moon. Bella and Jessica have a falling out after Bella's harsh break-up with Edward. After a spur-of-the-moment outing, Jessica and Bella are at odds with one another, when Bella ditches Jessica without warning to take a dangerous motorcycle ride with a stranger. Jessica continues to ignore Bella throughout the rest of the film.

In The Twilight Saga: Eclipse

Jessica still harbors a dislike for Bella, but luckily she & Bella are able to patch things up during graduation, and Jessica even attends the Cullens' graduation party. It is believed that she is dating Mike Newton at this time.

In The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn

Jessica attends Edward & Bella's wedding along with her friends, Angela, Mike and Eric, drawing attention to the overly-ornate gowns, decorations and decor. She gives a toast to the newlywed couple that is somewhat congratulatory, though mostly humorous and self-absorbed towards Bella & Edward's fairytale wedding, mostly stemming from her jealousy towards Bella's wedding and relationship with Edward.
