For me it's a toss up. The 1995 has the shoulder pads the 2012 is missing, but i can't stand the cod piece. However I love the 2012 belt.

Toss up here too. 2012 is a little more realistic/believable - but don't know if that's really what we want from a Judge Dredd movie - as it is the trailer makes it seem all 'dark and gritty', but lacking the black humor of the comics. A mixture of the two would be best.
I like the modern version of the 2012 film. The comic and the Stallone version share similar details in their extravagance except from the codpiece Stallone is "rocking." Overall, I'd imagine the most important element of the costume is the helmet. It's probably for the bes that both film adaptations stick very close to the comic.
@FinalDasa: aside from the shoulder pads, i think the 2012 looks more Like the comic, both had the side arm higher, the new helmet looks more like the comic. has far as the body armor, the comic isn't in High Def, so i don't think we can really make that out. but the 1995, well it looks more like tights.

@the_referee: yeah the cod piece is really stupid.
i pick the new one. the old uniform isn't scary enough.
That's the general consistence, The original was closer to the comics, but the new one fits the feel for a darker movie.
I can't wait for the new one.
