The film premiered at the 2007 Toronto Film Festival. It won an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay and received 3 other nominations (Best Picture, Best Actress and Best Director)
It follows the story of Juno MacGuff after she discovers that she is pregnant with her best friend Paulie Bleeker's child. Juno decides not to abort the baby and instead give it up for adoption. The story focuses on the adoption and the troubles that adult life presents Juno.
