Plot Overview

Justified is built around a coherent storyline that continues episode after episode with some one off episodes that are almost entirely independent to the show's main plot thread.

Justified debutes in Miami where the show's main protagonist, U.S. marshal Raylan Givens, threatens a local crime boss to leave town in thirty seconds or less before he shoots him. Being a man of his word, Raylan kills the mobster leading to him being reassigned to his home town, Harlan County, Kentucky.

Despite his disgust with the town, he joins the marshal service, helping them solve multiple cases. It just so happens that Harlan County is full of neo-nazis, white supremacists, meth cookers, drug dealers, con men, fugitives and perverts making Raylan's life pretty difficult. As if this weren't enough, Raylan must deal with his ex wife Winona, his distant, crooked father, his once love interest now turned witness Ava and worst of all Boyd Crowder, his old childhood friend that is at the head of the neo-nazis and a religious nut.
