Lana Lang is Superman's love interest in Smallville before he was with Lois Lane.

In film

Superman

In Superman, Lana Lang makes an appearance during a scene at Smallville High School. She was a cheerleader who was dating a football player named Brad, but still had a crush on Clark Kent.

Superman III

In Superman III, Lana is divorced from Brad and with a son named Ricky. She attempts to rekindle things with Clark Kent. When Superman is exposed to kryptonite, he begins to lust over her and it effects his protection of Metropolis. In the end, Superman ends up with her.

In television

Superboy

In the series Superboy, Lana Lang is a lifelong friend of Clark Kent and attends Shuster University with him and later follows him to the Bureau for Extra-Normal Matters. They have a strong relationship and investigate unusual incidents together.

Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman

Lana appears in a single episode of Lois & Clark. In an alternate universe Lois is dead a Lana, with blonde hair, is engaged to Clark. She tries to prevent him from exposing or using his powers, worrying the government would do experiments to him. However, the Lois from the normal universe talks that universe's Clark to use his powers to become Superman and Lana breaks up with him.

Smallville

In the series Smallville, Lana Lang is the love interest of Clark Kent. She is initially the girlfriend of the star quarterback. After this Clark tries several times to date her, but fears of her reaction to finding out about his powers. Lana later marries and subsequently divorces Lex Luthor after she discovers that he faked her pregnancy in order to get her to marry him. Clark would end up with Lana after finally revealing his secret to her.

In the eighth season, she receives powers equal to Clark's through a suit that drains to power of kryptonite. However, this makes her weaken Clark if she is near him. When Luthor threatens to destroy the Daily Planet with explosive kryptonite, she uses her ability to absorb all the power and essentially become a walking piece of kryptonite. Because any intimacy between them could kill Clark, she departs.
