Silver Surfer

The Surfer finds the index to the information, only to find that there is no information. The Watchers had interfered and saved the lives of millions, but in the process, they began changing. The slime creatures were known as Virals, and they are actually the former Watchers. He also tells them that they are now trapped and doomed to the same fate.

Due to their extended time there, Nebula and Geatar transform in to Virals. Mentor and the Silver Surfer soon follow. Once a Viral, the Surfer begins communicating with the others, learning that they are all one community mind. But the Surfer is unable to join them due to the possession of the Power Cosmic. The Virals tell him to renounce the power, but he refuses.

The Virals form into a giant form resembling the Surfer and attack him. He uses the power of his mind to turn back into his form and resist the virus. The Surfer, Drax and Pip leave aboard the pirate's ship and the Surfer decides that it would be best for him to seek out Zenn-La alone so that he doesn't endanger anyone else in the search.
