LEGEND OF THE FIST is certainly a tribute to CASABLANCA, with several scenes being very similar to the 1943 classic. For example, a scene in LEGEND OF THE FIST features the protagonist playing patriotic music to drown out a song sung by Japanese soldiers inhabiting his nightclub, which is what Rick Blane did in CASABLANCA when Nazi soldiers were in his nightclub. As a further reference, the club itself is called "Casablanca."
