Every once in a while, as a dramatic device and not to ape the style of one Q. Tarantino, a movie will start at the end and work it's way back there. Christopher Nolan is also famous for using this plot device.
It's an old story, or rather, a story frequently told by old people. Some character who is no longer in their prime will begin relating how they came to be the person that they are and suddenly, the screen fades to the beginning of the story.
