A Canadian-German co-production, Lexx is a darkly comic science fiction show in which a tiny crew pilot a living dragonfly-shaped ship called the Lexx. The show is often referred to as Star Trek's evil twin.
The chess game played between Kai and Prince is an exact copy of an actual championship chess game: La Bourdonnais vs. McDonnell, 1834, 21st game of the first match.
