Here's Five Minutes Of Lockout, That Crazy Guy-Pearce-In-Space Movie

This movie looks so damn silly that I almost can't believe that it isn't some kind of SyFy Original Movie. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, though, Peter Stormare shows up and pretty much confirms that its creators know exactly what I'm looking for when I go see a movie about a man who has to rescue the President's daughter from a space station that's been overrun by space-prisoners in space. Consider me excited.

This reminded me how awesome and under-appreciated Lennie James is.

Seems Guy Pearce is trying really hard to clinch the award for "Best Mark Wahlberg of 2012".

This flick seems kind of fun, and Besson has definitely earned some benefit of doubt, but I really won't be happy if that chick lives. Shannon was so fucking annoying in LOST that I have no choice but to wish that she dies in every movie I see her in.

It's good to know that apparently you can shock asystole (flatline) onboard space prisons and get a heartbeat, because that doesn't work too well here on earth . . . (y'know, everything else in the trailer is completely believable . . .)

At least it looks okay visually

This is from the guy who did Fifth Element. That's all I needed to be onboard. Having Guy Pearce do his best Riddick impression seals the deal :) I miss fun sci-fi like this. I miss Ruby Rhed (I'm going to go watch Fifth Element right now, actually)

Btw, Rorie. I like seeing Giantbomb and Tested and Comic Vine all together still at the bottom of the page. *sniff*. I just came from Giantbomb, and the bottom of those pages...it's so...cold now. (all it says is "Gamespot/Giantbomb/Comic Vine")

This is so insulting to The Rock to put it in the same sentence as that movie. That thing look so shitty. Like you said, it looks like a scify original movie or something like that. Ewww

Yeah, sure, I'd watch this. I'll probably wait for a nice quiet night after it hits Netflix/Redbox though.

He was pretty good in Animal Kingdom, and he's been in a lot of "indie" movies.

I would like to see him get more recognition, though.

Trailer: Lockout

Guy Pearce is "the best there is, but he's a loose cannon." He's sent to a maximum-security prison to rescue the President's daughter. That prison is also in space. I...I think I'm in love with this movie.
