"Magic Wine" just about sums it up for me...

There were only 2 or 3 things on there we actually do know the answer to. But surprisingly, it does cover most of my remaining questions.

Also for some reason after watching it, I don't care as much about learning the answers. I just want to watch the show again.

Yeah, I felt the same way.

I think a big part of Lost's appeal is the mystery and uncertainty surrounding most of the things that happen on the island.

I just literally watched the episode Lockdown on Netflix Instant which started around six of these questions.

It's like when I watched it, the whole time I was going, "wow that was great wasn't it?"

I was one of those people that watched more for the mystery of the island more than the character driven story. I wasn't let down in the end, but it left me with a lot of questions about the mythology. Having been able to quickly recall all these things, more than ever I just want to go back and kind of put everything together.

I think all the fans can agree that we spent more time talking about the show than watching it. I had more fun trying to figure out the mysteries than actually getting the solutions. Since we have no real definitive answers for a lot of things, we can debate it as much as we want. The show is still alive as long as we discuss it's myriad insane puzzles.

@dvorak:
I think the framework that this show setup is better than the the show itself and filling in the missing pieces is a nice creative thing to talk about. One little detail that has always kept me on was Christian Shepherd's shoe. His shoe. Back in season one you see his ghost walking around in white tennis shoes, an almost insignifgant detail, it is only several years laters that we find out that Jack put those cheap white tennis shoes on him because that was all he had. It really isn't much, and was not a hard thing for the writer's to put in, but this world has depth and the writing that went into this show is clearly not just a compliation of crazy disconnected WTF moments.
I'm positive not every little mystery is going to fit into a nice little puzzle and there is going to alot of plot holes, nonetheless the Lost I piece together is going to be differant than the Lost you piece together and I think talking about that - just like you said - is going to be plain sodding awesome.

PS I like how the history of the island is kind of disjointed, as you never know how the US Army becomes the others in the 1950s or what their motives originally were. It's the same with most of the groups on Lost, and I actually thinks that's pretty realistic. If you look back at our history it's hard to piece together in and of itself.

Damn I didn't think there were that many questions.

This show looks just terrible, I don't know how anyone can find these ridiculous plot twists entertaining or clever. I find them an insult to one's intelligence.

Considering you have not watched them within the context of the show, that is an outlandish comment.

It's not outlandish at all. I've watched Lost many many times and thought to myself 'man, this must seem like the most fucked up show of all time for people that don't watch it'.

Don't get me wrong, I loved Lost and I was there from beginning to end. But the entire concept of the show, from an outsiders point of view, is pure insanity.

They need to answer how significant to the plot it was for Jack to get that tattoo, man.

@D: I was not defending the defilement of the plot twists. I was merely stating that to pass judgement, you need to have at least watched the show.

As someone who has never watched a full episode of Lost, this video kinda confirms that I never, ever, ever, want to start watching it.

I was hoping someone would put together something like this, I only remembered maybe an eighth of these. Pondering the finale over the last couple days I think I'm leaning towards liking it but I was looking for at least a few more answers for the major mysteries, or at least hints. Desmond's abilities and significance come to mind. Eloise and all the time travel stuff. I would like to believe magical electromagnetic water doesn't explain everything.

Seeing that they hadn't answered questions I considered important from way back when I started watching it, I'm now completely put off the idea of catching up.

well, I think all us real Losties had hope. Hope that it would all be answered,
as the producers told us constantly through interviews and such. But hey!
We shoulda known better.

Always thought that woman looked more like Dana Carvey than Tina Fey.
