I admire anyone who takes the time to create fan movies based on their favorite stuff. They're generally awful, sure, but every once in a while we get something like Troops that's genuinely entertaining. What's surprising about "The Man Who Brought Us Here", the Lost fan film above, was the lengths they went to for verisimilitude, going so far as to shoot on the apparently abandoned sets that ABC left standing in Hawaii. It's also completely inscrutable, which is also pretty true to the source material. That acting, though...rarely has the promise of a sequel felt more like a threat. "YES, MEGAN, AN ALCOVE!" At least the main dude looks like the dude from Overdrift, which is a pleasant association.

Still, it's interesting to see that the sets are still up, even if they should be put to better uses than this. I wonder if there's any tours going on for those things if you happen to be on vacation in Hawaii. Does this make you want more Lost, or just happy that it ended when it did?

Man the lengths they went to get on the original set is amazing to me for a fan film, but that acting... cringe worthy. Seriously guys you can take multiple takes of a scene, you don't have to go with the first one all the time :P

Man, that video kinda makes me wish for some kind of Lost sequel. I know the acting in that video was bad, but the premise of a Hurley/Linus--centered show seems interesting.

I don't know why, but I found the guy's conspicuously placed pencils in his mail bag rather amusing. As for the redhead, I'd totally run up in that.

That was pretty much the closest thing I've seen to fan fiction in video form.

Ugh, that was painful. But the score makes me want to watch seasons 1-3 all over again...

"Well, what does that have to do with anything?"

I don't know if "want" is the right word, miss? Yes.

I still think seasons 1-3 of Lost are some of the best television ever aired.

I actually think they did a pretty good job with it, especially with the camera work.  The opening scene was a lot like the opening scene of a lot of episodes of the show, and really made me realize how much I miss the show.

The fiction worked.

The cameras, camera work, and sound were well done

Acting and writing were very bad.

I would expect better from Lost fanatics.  :|

Generic door opening sound at 1:24 is going to be the death of me. Does that sound have a page yet ><

their acting is so bad they should have not done this.

also, the dialogue is so awkward. nobody says anything that makes them sound different from one another. whoever wrote this doesn't know anything about writing.
