Fellow Losties, come one, come all, and let us bask in the moment that is before us. For six long years, we have endured something epic, something emotional, and something that was, dare I say, magical. Don't misunderstand my meaning or take what I'm saying as hyperbole: LOST is a television show like any other television show, and when it goes off the air after this Sunday, TV will resume its normal course, flying over the vast sea of miserable programming as if the island from whence this little ball of serialized light came sat water-logged and lifeless beneath the ocean, the world unawares.

But one cannot discount the phenomenon this show has become. Over these six years, we've all stuck to our guns and watched every single week as characters lived, characters died, questions were answered by even more questions, and nobody ever got around to explaining that damned polar bear. At some point, for me at least, it became far less about the answers that may or may not have ever existed inside the brains of Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse prior to their need to write this final season, but more about simply sticking it out, seeing it through to the end, and getting some closure, regardless as to how satisfying that conclusion ends up being. I don't even care anymore if the last episode of LOST is good. It's such an event, that by virtue of that fact alone I will have a good time watching it with my fellow Losties as we laugh, cry, face palm, scream out things like "So THAT'S why spinning the wheel sends you to Tunisia!" and generally just enjoy the catharsis that comes along with seeing a show this wantonly mysterious through to the bitter end .

Unless the island just turns out to be purgatory like everyone on the internet predicted--then I'm going to be pissed.

Anyway, with that said, I wanted to get something up here on the main page for all the Screened Losties to hit up for discussion on the final episode. Feel free to comment and post away with your thoughts on the series as a whole, what you expect to see in the finale, and how you feel about a post-LOST world--because like it or not, that's what every TV commentator is going to be calling it for the next billion months. Also, please note that the finale will start at 9 PM EST for the East Coast readers; if you're on the West Coast, you may want to avoid this site (and the internet altogether) starting around 6 PM PST, as there will be SPOILERS ALL OVER THE PLACE!

Additionally, I come bearing a trove of links from other sites that have created their own nifty LOST mega-posts. Videos, DVD info, goofy shit, and the like. Enjoy!

And finally, I leave you with this oldie-but-goodie, because deep down in my heart of hearts, I hope and pray that this phrase actually plays some absurdly important meaning in the final episode.

Discuss away Screenedies!

Gah! Why must you make this harder! This show has changed teliviosn. So many other shows tried and all have failed on the big 4 to create a show so mesmorizing then this, if the finale sucks, whatever. The last 6 seasons have been a blast

I can't believe I've only seen up 'til series 1 episode 3... I really should get around to watching some more of it at some point...

yeah, i'm not the biggest lost fan, but the showed definitely changed television and the hype the finale is getting on this site alone is getting me pumped, even though i probably won't watch it. i will be interested in seeing the reaction from fans/critics.

I just found out today that they're showing the finale here in the UK at the same time as in the US. I don't care that I have to be awake at 5:00 AM and have an exam that same day but I am watching at the same time as you guys.

I hope that the survivors are sitting at a table in a restaurant with allusions to impending doom and then just when The Man in Black walks into the real world with them.......... Black Screen.

Please make a topic for the finale so people aren't spoiling it all over the website.

I'm one that has been watching since the Pilot, and as fate would have it, my TV broke today (for the 15th time in 6 years, not an over exaggeration. Thanks Samsung.) So I may be stuck watching on a much smaller TV, but no way in heck am I missing this.

The finale is going to be 2 and a half hours of Walt playing basketball in the NBA because he's now 6'5" and 30 years old.

I am one hundred percent in agreement; since season four I gave up on answers and finally what LOST was truly about, the journey. LOST always had a sense of knowing about it, it knew it would annoy viewers and eventually knew it would have a very niche audience. The ones that stood by it through every quirk are the ones who are rewarded as we have enjoyed the journey as a whole, we don't necessarily need everything answered, we can sit on forums for years to come discussing that! We want a good, solid end to an adventure we have been a part of for the last six years.

The polar bear was brought to the island by the Dharma initiative. The question is "how the hell did a polar bear teleport to Tunisia?" o.o

edit: as in how the fuck did it spin the wheel... >.>

They put a bear in the testing cage and it just...moved. That would be a guess

@X: It was turning the wheel in one of their experiments.

I just started the series a week and a half ago and I just finished season 3.  I was so sad that Charlie died, he was my favorite.

Those videos are hilarious.  Thanks for sharing those links, I would've never known of their existence if they weren't shared here.

We know that Dharma brought the polar bears but the question is how did it survive on a tropical island?

Well, I've seen every episode of the season the night it aired, because I've got Tuesdays off work, but I'm going to miss Sundays show. It's no big deal, I'll just download it and watch it without commercials, but I'll be alone and it'll be depressing, I mean, I barely believe in life after LOST. Well, it's not that serious (but I will be buying all the seasons on Blu-Ray and watching the series again in HD this time.)

@sopranosfan: Hmm... I don't remember that. Only logical explanation though.

@gla55jAw: Part of their experiments was to make the bears adapt to that environment I guess?

Lost is just one of those shows that has an unimaginable amount of filler episodes. But right when you think you are going to quit watching it because they keep dragging it out, something OH FUCKING SHIT happens and you are doomed.
