More Lost Epilogue Details Emerge

 Dude.
You aren't going to find a longer news story written about less information than this E Online bit about Lost. We've already known that the upcoming six-season DVD set of Lost was going to include a bit of an epilogue featuring Hugo and Ben as the guardians of the island, but now, thanks to Jorge Garcia's loose lips, we now know that:

"It will address some of the issues, like the food drops, and it will deal with what happened on the island after Hurley took over and how he handled things," Garcia reveals of the DVD bonus feature he shot. "It will give you a taste of what took place after Hurley took over as the new number one."

 
Wow, compelling new information! "Insider sources" tell E! that Walt will make an appearance of sorts, although that sounds a bit farfetched, considering that he didn't appear at all in Season Six outside of archival footage. But hey, at this point, they could have a UFO land on the island and reveal that the whole thing was the Andorian version of Survivor and I doubt I would be surprised.

So they are going to find a giant wall of text in a cave that explains why they came to the island and their purpose . ..  oh wait, that happened already.

awesome, can't wait. Still disappointed that people are ignoring the fact that Desmond is still there... he's there, right?

Oh god, the food drops. That was like my biggest grip with all the unanswered questions. I MUST KNOW!

Hurley and Ben both mentioned that they were going to send Desmond back to Penny. They were never going to keep him there.

Yeah, but with Ben's resources and Hurley's new wizard magicks, I don't think he'll have any trouble getting home to Penny and Little Charlie.

I imagine the food drops were part of some kind of an experiment to test the island's relation to time. Daniel Faraday started trippin' when he noticed his timers were off by some number of minutes... maybe the food drop had a timer on it too. It wasn't brought up because the survivors obviously wouldn't give a shit about some digital clock considering they finally had something to eat! Dharma ranch... 
 
Anybody worried about having to spend money on the complete set having already bought every season up to now: the epilogue will be online one way or another. I'm not worried. Even a written summary on Lostpedia would be enough for me.

Too many answers. Some things should be left unexplained. And besides, the stuff they say will explained are obvious things that could be deduced from the show.
 
Like the food drops, they could simply still be sending those things because they don't know Dharma is no longer operating and the people in there are just pretending to be Dharma people.

It's implied he left when Ben told Hurley he could let him leave.

Explaining everything is not the spirit of that show nor should it be. Having some things be a mystery keeps the show more interesting as time goes on. You people who wanted everything explained are nuts and clearly have no idea what kind of a show Lost was.

Yeah, the bigger mystery to me is how I and fellow owners of seasons 1-5  will have to experience the epilogue details.    I love me some Lost, but paying a $200.00 premium for food drop info - no thanks!
