The first season is incredible. Rest are a little hit and miss, with more misses than hits. I hated the switch to more sci fi stuff. It all just got really convoluted and silly. It also felt very poorly planned out. Like the writers one day decided "Hey, let's make it a sci fi show!" and thought up a bunch of stuff and never finished. Then they realized, "Oh wait, we might have to explain this stuff" which is where it gets bad.

Also, I fucking hate Faraday so much.

The first season was Great and the rest was just ok.  I really enjoyed the time travel portion of the show  and I was sorely disappointed that season 6 went the afterlife route.  IMO, season 6 should have embraced and ran with the idea of alternate timelines.  There was awesome potential for some truly excellent sci-fi going that route.
The one thing I take away from the way Lost ended is that "everything matters, there are no shortcuts in life", etc.  And sure that is a great message, but cmon.... I wanted to see the alternate timelines collapse on each other or something equally cool and mind-bending.

There were some pretty awesome theory blogs I frequented back when Lost was still on the air;  I really enjoyed the mirror matter moon theory.

I thought it was great. The sixth season was a bit of a letdown in some regards, but the first five were all amazing television.

It's convoluted, boring, and unexciting rubbish.

I tried to give it  a chance but it just couldn't hold my interest. The whole part about coincidences on the plane just got to confusing for me.

Terrible show. I wish people would get over it already.

Not really. It was a chore to see what they would come up with next and I got tired of it. However, when most of the series was on hulu.com, i thoroughly enjoyed watching 5 seasons.

There were plenty of moments where I rolled my eyes and lots of misses in later seasons, but when it hit it really hit. All in all, I thought it was a good show.

Plus, I mean, that punch. That goddamn punch.

Lost is one of the greatest shows to ever grace the television.

I thought it was a great show. After finishing the show, some family members visited and began watching it, and it's funny to see things that they put in the later seasons that showed up around the first season. And my clever cousin predicted many events that happened throughout the show after only the first episode, which was amusing.

Lost is a great show that really set what TV mythology could become, in my opinion. It can be idea driven and sci-fi oriented while still appealing to a mass audience. It can have unanswered questions and drive itself forward on mystery. Even though they were making things up as they went along, it's fun to see what comes together and what just dies.

I liked what it was going for.. but the acting in most spots was shady at best.
Also, Jin and Sun.. (however they're spelled) should have just been handcuffed to each other in the beginning.

I was hooked in season 1-2 then lost it, came back at the end of season 4 and stuck through with it until the end. What kept me going was that it radically different from most other shows at the time and even though it may have quite a few dud episodes, it still felt fresh. Ending was disappointing, though.

After season 4 in my opinion all went to total shit, I cannot believe I was hooked on that. The ending really pisses me off.
