What about Walt?!

So long time lost fan yada yada.. My personal opinion on the last season/finale was pretty poor. When it answered questions it was great, but I firmly believe that the writers/creators had no intention of ever closing the loop on this. The entertainment value was there for sure and I'm sure the "meaning"of everything in the lost universe will continue to be up for debate for some time. Thats just my opinion, and im glad that everyone who enjoyed it had a good time.

My question is don't Walt and Michael get to goto heaven? Go ahead and watch it again. No Michael, no Walt. Don't give me the contract thing or Walt is too old now or any of that mess. There's enough money behind this show to get anyone in front of that camera living or dead. I mean its not like you had 4 seasons to wrap up that story line, but the least you could do was show him in the finale and give it some closure.

They said that everyone dies and shows up there and that the time spent with those people were the most important in their lives and they all converge to that place. So again where is Walt? Does that mean Walt isn't dead. Was Walt a vampire, zombie, or mummy?

Walt may have had his own adventures and friends with whom to reconnect.  But I agree, a short cameo would have been nice

Apparently the actor himself is too tall and doesn't bear any resemblance to what he looked like while they were filming the show.

Michael was stuck on the island, doomed to wander around as a whisper for pretty much forever. Notice how he was never on the alternate 815 plane and was never seen in any of the flashsideways.

Michael was an asshole. Assholes don't go to heaven.

I second this.

Also, the ending was focused on the connections and bonds made by the characters. The events on the island simply were not the defining moment in his life as they were for the rest of the characters. A cameo would have been great for sure but I don't see the omission of Walt as the same gaping plothole that many fans have been raving about. I prefer believing that Walt, as a child, was spared from all the horrors of the island -- it was the only thing Michael wanted for him and he got it. I'd say no send off was the best send off.

@Lashe:
You mean to tell me that they cant put him in there in some kind of digital format? I mean for christ sake they can make blue monkey cat people look just as really as a human standing next to them but age is apparently a show stopper?  Correct my if i'm wrong but he showed up maybe two seasons ago. Besides its very clear during flashbacks that everyone on that show has aged significantly. Say something, but dont just end it like that.

And we dont need your well reasoned logic answering these questions.  lol j/k

@thepaleking: Dead fucking on.

Like already mentioned, Walt ended up spending very little time on the island compared to the others, and didnt establish any major bonds with the other castaways. As such, he most likely had a long life with a wife and kids, and other events that in the end were much more significant to him.
