Okay, I just need to get this off my chest right now.

SWEET FUCKING JESUS. What a gobsmackingly brilliant episode. Like, wow.

Anyone who isn't watching Louie is missing out on what will surely be remembered as one of the greatest "comedies" of all time (comedy being in quotes because 70% of what makes this show incredible has nothing to do with being funny). I mean, christ.

I agree with pat4327. I refuse to believe David Lynch has nothing to do with this show. Toss some weird music and Kyle Maclachlan in this and you have his best work.

"Comedy" is a weird word for Louie. There are parts that are very funny, like when he was ordering the bananas, but there are so many weird, extended scenes of dialogue. I initially thought this show would be a lot like Curb Your Enthusiasm, but it's so much more surreal and ambitious.

"Weird" count: 3

This is what happens when you get "you can't fuck with my show" in your contract and producers cant make it feel derivative of xyz the big things of the moment.

Who would of thought talented individuals when given creative control of their own shows would make really entertaining television?

Executives in charge of the Simpsons. And we all know what a dismal failure that was.

Oh wait...

Man, I just watched it and came straight here and can't wait to start some discussion!

Who is this guy really are? I mean, his style is kinda crass (in an intimate & sincere way) but the last few episodes blew my away. The one with the monologue on how it is to be an ugly guy and trying so hard be notice by his single mom love interest or the talk between him and his suicidal friend.

Now this...I can't wait to see his next feature film. Anyone else can think of any comedian that turned great director? I can only think of Woody.

Louie seems to want to be in the film biz in some form, outside of the usual cameos in comedy films. You can tell by how surreal and odd the show is.

That scene in the subway episode. You know the one. A violin and a man's buttcrack were involved.
