I debated posting this, for well, obvious NSFW moments (which there are many, so be warned) but there is part of me that couldn't help discuss what I feel like is a "WTF are you doing Steven Soderbergh?" moment. Don't get me wrong, Boogie Nights remains one of my favorite films of all time, so there is a way to do a great movie about a somewhat "risque" industry. However, this trailer makes it look like Magic Mike is just a true "Chippendales" show for the ladies, with some story thrown in between. It obviously was an international trailer, which makes sense why it is a little more "liberal" and they certainly could be capitalizing on all of those moments, but I also think it's important to know if you decide to see this....a lot of Channing Tatum's ass is apparently what will you be seeing.

I love the fact that this movie has been made. If men can make movies about woman stripping why not men?

I also like that Soderbergh just does whatever he wants and it gets made. The man might not make perfect films but he steps outside of his comfort zone while still instilling his own style and class with each movie.

I do wish this movie has something more for me though. I'm not interested in a film about a stripper's life and how easy/hard it is. I wouldn't mind knowing there was some depth with this movie. Then I could be convinced to see it.

Don't we all want to know what he has to do to get twenties?

It'll be interest of the demographic that sees the film and whether the 'star' power will pull in a wider audience than without. It probably won't be a drag your boyfriend along movie night, so what other flick will get a bump from the runoff.

I wonder if this will have more Chattum frontal than Shame had Fassbenders.

Everything I loved about the first trailer that made me want to see it is no longer in this trailer. This trailer makes the film look kinda vapid and an excuse to see decently chiseled men in banana hammocks. I still want to see it but not for what I was just shown.

Well I'm not sure if I'll see this or not but it is definitely an interesting concept. I imagine this will attract a large female audience and could do really well as a result.

Also, what exactly made this a red band trailer? Other than seeing bare asses, I don't recall any swearing or penises flying around.

I always say that (rather than a horror movie) the best way for a male star to broaden his audience to become a more attractive option to executives for blockbuster action roles is to star in a movie that the fairer ex will go nuts over.

These men will have ALL OF THE ROLES.

That trailer looked dreadful. It's not about the stripping aspect. It's just that it's already been done...and better...in The Full Monty.
