Man of Steel Forum

So far, this sounds like a pretty standard Superman movie. I hope Zach Snyder does something a little more interesting.

I will let Sucker Punch slide. 300, Dawn of the Dead, and Watchmen were all fantastic.

They were all good, but there wasn't much vision for someone people are pegging as a "visionary" director. I mean, when you attempt to adapt a graphic novel panel-for-panel to the screen, that doesn't say much for your faith in yourself as a director.
 
Don't get me wrong, I think that Zack Snyder has a lot of potential to do something really great, but I'm afraid that he's going to get so caught up in just doing the empty "badass" thing until the end of his career.

100% agree.

I'm all for some character development. Kingdom Come was an amazing story and that was all about Superman dealing with a world that had past him by. The Nolan batmans are plenty of "To be or not to be" but I'll bet those parts didn't ruin the films for anyone.
