Despite being delayed into 2013, Warner Bros. still wishes us to be aware of the fact that their Man Of Steel movie is totally a thing. (And, to be honest, I'm really looking forward to catching a trailer for it when it arrives.) I normally wouldn't be posting a simple image as a story, especially not one as plain as this, but it's a Friday and I'm the only person writing for the site and I'm probably at a movie as you read this, so I need to put something in this slot for you to read and talk about until I get back. Ok? Jeez.
Anyway, they released the new logo for the film on its Facebook page last night, and it looks...dirty. I assume that the tarnished texture is suppose to indicate some kind of dark edginess to the project, or perhaps the character himself, which...well. Superman's greatest strength, and what frustrates so many fans of his, is his inherent milquetoast do-no-wrong Boy Scoutiness, so the notion of him getting sullied somehow might be interesting. Of course, the last time they tried to do that in a movie he was transformed into an evil Superman and had to fight himself, which wasn't a good development for anyone.
Here's the full-size version that they posted, which still isn't very big so far as movie images go. What do you think?
