For both, who have and haven't seen The Dark Knight Rises yet Warner Bros showed the teaser trailer for the upcoming Superman reboot of a reboot inside of a reboot film entitled Man of Steel. Directed by Zack Synder with Nolan producing all that jazz we will be shown Clark Kent coming to terms with being Super. Well turns out they actually cut 2 teaser trailers, one for each of Supes fathers to speak in. Jor-El played by Russel Crowe talking over one and the other with Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent. I was shown the Jor-El trailer.
They do not differ in any way other than the speech given by the father. Both of which hit on the same theme of Clark choosing who he wants to be: Normal or Super, Good or Evil. And whatever he chooses will change things forever. Of the two I prefer the Jor-El trailer something about Crowes delivery. Despite being a comics fan Superman has never really appealed to me. It seems like an easy excuse to say that he is too powerful and that is one of the reasons why I don't like him another being how bland he is at times, Superman:TAS is pretty good though.
As far as teaser trailers go this is pretty good. Abstract enough to get across a theme and emotion without showing the million dollar shot, it's only supposed to tell you it's coming nothing more. Also does anyone know what the music is in the trailer? I've heard it before and still have no clue as to its name.
