I really liked it at first and thought it was obvious lots of it was set up, I mean how else do you expect the camera man to get set up? However lots of stunts Bear was doing were real and really fun to watch. People took it too seriously, I saw it as an entertainment show, though I did learn quite a few things from it. Obviously you're not going to take the same risks as he did unless you're as experience but it's for entertainment. I personally find other survival nature shows boring because it's like Survivorman or Ray Mears and it makes me fall asleep. However Mas Vs Wild was fast and exciting to watch and I loved seeing the world in the show.
My problem with the show was after the whole news story about it being staged (it so obviously was so I don't get why people were crying over it) they changed the format of the show. I didn't like the new format and it hasn't been the same since.
Personally I like him and I liked the show.
