I saw this film at its world premiere at Sundance Film Festival 2011 and instantly knew this was a film we should be paying attention to. This film follows a young girl within a small cult who escapes to her family. It follows her identity crisis and skewed relationships rather than a more conventional thriller/drama story. This story is an emotionally gripping exploration of self that provides no indication of what is to happen next. Elizabeth Olsen is cast in the lead of this film and provides a truly amazing performance that was initially tipped for the path to the Oscars, which we recently learnt never came to fruition. This film is a dark horse in every sense, an independent film that has had to fight for every iota of attention and acclaim it has received.
