Does he still hate Jews?

All that runs through my mind when I see him onscreen is "...man, this guy's a bigot. He hates Jews!"  I still refuse to watch any of his movies because of this. Mad Max and The Road Warrior get a pass from me since they are just too awesome.
 
The Passion of the Christ was pretty stupid as well.

Yeah I've heard that the his father was one of those holocaust deniers & his family belonged to a sect of Catholicism that didn't recognise any decisions made by the church post Vatican II in 1962. Of course that's all just speculative, but it's still thought provoking.

I am assuming he does.  In my experience people his age pretty much don't change their opinions on race.

I don't know why you can't enjoy the Lethal Weapon movies without thinking about who he does and doesn't like. A lot of people don't like certain sectors of society. I didn't sit there watching Sherlock Holmes thinking '...man, this is directed by a bigot! He hates gays!' Move on and find something that matters to care about.

Apparently, he not only hates Jews...but blacks, scantily-clad women, and money as well. 
 
Well...I assume he hates money because all this negative publicity is definitely going to keep it away from him!

Mel Gibson is an old school racist.  He likes a few black people, but he feels the race itself is a problem. 
 
I find it amazing when people say that him saying nigger is the big offense.  Yeah, racism sucks, but what about the apparent PHYSICAL BEATING OF HIS BABY MAMA?  Form me, Mel is done, and Ari dropped him from the agency, so we'll see what happens to him from here.
