The thing that made me really like Max in Rushmore was that even though he comes off as an overachieving savant, that he was kind of an idiot. He'd say stuff like "Oxford is my safety school" but have D's in all his classes. That made him flawed and likable to me.

i both am interested, and yet hate everything about this.... I'm confused.

After this, I can't watch another Wes Anderson movie...

Holy great cast.

I'm going to just guess that you won't see any nude paintings. That was a joke right there. The thought of a twelve year old painting watercolor nudes is funny.

This cast looks fantastic. But hey, it's a Wes Anderson movie, I bet actors line up to do those.

I think its kind of an insult if we have to compartmentalize directors into exact molds.

I am sick of every Wes Anderson movie looking, feeling, and sounding exactly the same. The guy has so much talent I just wish he would dare to try something completely different. I loved Rushmore and the Royal Tenenbaums but by the time we got to the Life Aquatic and Darjeeling Limited I found myself getting bored. Fantastic Mr. Fox was a nice departure, I wish we'd see more of that.

I've read somewhere on the internet about "stuff white people like". Not quite remembered it though.

My fellow screener, why do white people like Wes Anderson's movies?

I haven't seen many of Wes Anderson's films, but this looks absolutely hilarious. Ed Norton in comedies = win.

It wouldn't be a Wes Anderson film without Bill Murray somewhere up in there.
