There's something incredibly Broadway about the way Cage acts in Moonstruck. Much like Alex said, it's just something about the dialogue and the delivery that Cage takes to it that just makes it ring that way.

Also, very excited for Vampire's Kiss. So ready to get in the Cage.

My sister loves this movie and through her repeating viewings of it when we lived at home I ended up a) really liking it too and b) feeling some weird sort of link with La Bohème.

Moonstruck is the only movie where I put the words "good acting" and "Nic Cage" in the same sentence and mean it un ironically.

Johnny has his hand Johnny has his Bride Where's my hand Where's my bride

I saw this movie like a year or two ago on TV one Sunday afternoon. I don't know why, but I stopped and looked at the description and it said Nic Cage was in it, and from that moment I was in for the rest of the movie. As you said, there are some pretty emotional moments which come out of this movie at times. They are not your typical "cage" moments, but usually slow, quiet and reserved scenes were the ones which really resonated with me!

This was playing on cable a few months ago, and I kept saying I was going to watch it after having it sit on my DVR all summer, but I never did. Seems surprisingly good. But holy shit, Vampire's Kiss is next week, you guys!

If you haven't watched Vampire's Kiss yet it expires tomorrow on Netflix. I know what I'm doing tonight

Moonstruck was a very good movie and Cher was in her prime as an actress. Mr. Cage was very good in it too. But screw that, Vampire's Kiss was fucking wild as hell.

I feel like the only people under the age of 60 that go to the Opera are movie characters. Am I wrong about this?

I go to the Opera and I'm in my 20s. Love it. And musical theater.
