A toy shark that swims the depths of the toy box in Andy's Room.
Background
Mr. Shark is a rubber squeaky-toy shark who swims around in the junk piled in Andy's wagon-shaped toy box in Andy's Room. He rarely leaves the toy box, except at play time with Andy, and cruises the depths of the toys that Andy puts away -- one step away from being forgotten. Mr. Shark is playful, helpful, and nothing like a the vicious killing machine of a real shark.
Major Plots
Hey, Look! I'm Woody. Howdy, Howdy, Howdy!
Mr. Shark lives in Andy's toy box and only interacts with people in or around his toy box. Luckily, people frequently congregate around the toy box. Mr. Shark sometimes tells ghost stories about forgotten toys or tells jokes to the passers-by of his home. When Andy placed Woody in the toy box, Mr. Shark tries to cheer Woody up by wearing his iconic cowboy hat and proclaiming himself to be Woody. Woody is not amused and takes the hat back. Mr. Shark is saddened by the experience but understands Woody's pain.
A few years later, when Woody is stolen by Al of Al's Toy Barn, Mr. Shark searches the toy box for a spare squeaker for Wheezy. Luckily, all of the bric-a-brac that has collected over time includes a squeaker. Wheezy thanks Mr. Shark for the squeaker as it allows him to sing well.
By the time that Andy goes to college, Mr. Shark has either been sold or donated. He is counted among the friends that Woody, Buzz, and friends have lost. Hopefully, Mr. Shark is in a new home with a new toy box to swim around in with new friends, but nothing is guaranteed.
Personality and Traits
Mr. Shark is a happy, friendly toy who is always willing to lend a hand or help someone crack a smile. He rarely leaves the toy box, as it is his domain, but he loves to entertain. He knows plenty of jokes and stories, and he is almost as funny as he thinks he is.
